EGL 8 European Cup Qualifiers

STOP PRESS! Additional Tournaments added to the schedule! Qualifiers for the European Cup finals to be held in Paris games week will take place at EGL 8, more information below.

Note: These qualifiers are for the UK only.

Back once again with another epic qualifier! Note, this is separate to the qualifier being run by Capcom in December going straight to America.

16 European Countries are running qualifiers, the winners of which will be sent (travel & hotel paid) to Paris for the finals in Paris Games Week. The winners in Paris will be sent to America for the 25th Anniversary Grand Finals!

Where: The UK qualifiers will take place at EGL 8 within play expo.
Price: £10 entry per game.
Format: Double elimination bracket.
Registration
Registration will take place on the day and close at 12:30.
Tournament start
Tournaments will begin from 1.30PM.

Saturday:
SFxT. Final 2 competitors both go to Paris. DLC characters will be available.

Sunday:
Third Strike. Winner goes to Paris.
HD Remix. Winner goes to Paris.
SSF4. Top 2 go to Paris.

What if I win more than one game
Then you’ll go to Paris and enter both games. More chances to go to America for free 

Paris Games Week (All times are local ie Paris time)
HD Remix: 8-man final will take place on Saturday 3rd November from 9am.
SSF4 AE: Top 32 will take place on Saturday 3rd November from 12PM.

Travel The paid travel is the Eurostar to Paris from London and back.

SFxT: Top 32 will take place on Sunday 4th November from 9am.
3s: Top 8 will take place on Sunday 4th November from 3PM.

Apologies for the late notice; it is quite difficult to fund these qualifiers and we only confirmed everything today.

If you have people in your scene who cannot afford to make it to Manchester who really should be there, I’d recommend scene fundraisers to send them for their respective games. I want to see True Might in manchester on Sunday!
